Music on Union presents Accordionist Jan Le Clair, as part of the “Sounds of Hope” concert series. The series of free 40-minute live indoor concert at St James’ Church, sponsored by the Music Performance Trust Fund and St James Church. A live audience of up to 60 people can be accommodated, with appropriate physical distancing.
Based in Kingston, Jan Le Clair is an accordionist who favours folk music from home and away. Jan draws from a wide array of English, French, Italian, Eastern Europe, and Ashkenazi traditions, and has performed across Canada at well known folk festivals such as Winnipeg, Calgary, Yellowknife, Alianait in Iqaluit, Lunenburg, Summerfolk, Ottawa, and Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu Quebec. For this concert, the audience will be invited to visit far and away places by listening to music that has been written, inspired or influenced by other cultures, places, and experiences.
