P.A. Day Art Camp at The Agnes

Spend your day off school exploring paint, print, sculpture and pattern. Children ages 6–12 use our exhibitions as inspiration as they learn artmaking techniques under the themes Playing with the Rainbow and Textures and Towers. A limited number of bursaries are available for Children and Youth. Apply today. Fee: $55, $45 members Instructor Biography Ella Gonzales is an artist, educator, and arts administrator currently based in Kingston, ON. She is a BFA graduate with a minor in Art History and Criticism from Western University. She is currently the Curatorial Assistant, Contemporary Art, at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and has over five years of experience working across arts organizations, including: McIntosh Gallery, Western University; Station Gallery, Whitby; and H’art Centre, Kingston. Friday 28 June 2019"Textures and Towers" Do you like to build things? We do! Create extraordinary sculptures using all sorts of stuff. From fabric, sticks and paper to marshmallows and mylar. Who knows what you will envision, because with sculpture, the sky’s the limit! Instructor Biography Julia Hegmann is a passionate art educator and artist, with experiences ranging from Program Assistant at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre to Education Intern at the National Gallery of Canada. She received a BAH in Art History and Mathematics from Queen’s University and will be graduating with her B.Ed from Queen’s University to teach Visual Art and Mathematics in the High School level.
