Workshop: Introduction to Gouache

Gouache is an opaque form of watercolour that was used extensively in the past by graphic artists to produce a flat colour surface that can be layered to produce a number of effects that differ greatly from translucent watercolour. In this two hour workshop Christina MacLachlan will teach you the properties of this unique medium. From laying a flat wash, to layering, to colour mixing, to detailing and dry brush, you will explore the medium in hands on exercises and small compositions. As well, you will explore ways to render specific subjects, such as rocks and trees.  $50 + tax, all materials included to register go to http://www.artnoise.ca/education.html or call 613-767-7860
